The Vatican

The Vatican, the strong hold of the remaining human race. Formed in the former country known as Rome, it now stands as its own government and military over the humans it watches over. It has the ultimate power to do what ever is "God's Will". The structure remains the same as it has for thousands of years in the past. The leader of government being the Pope with the AX Organizer, and the DI Leader. Although humans are naturally slower and weaker then the Vampires and Werewolves they are superior in technology. Having years to scourge the earth for the lost technologies, they are by far the most technological advanced nation on earth. It is through this technology how they have stayed on par against the Methuselah. The Vatican's military is divided into two parts, Ax Agents, and the Department of Inquisition.

• Ax- Is an Elite special division that runs aside from direct Vatican rule. They are all elite, priests and nuns, trained in special combat to uphold their duties. These members all have special abilities granted by the lost technology, that allow them to fight on levels far superior to that of normal humans. There is only allowed five members of Ax at one time. Although the members do often give apprenticeships.
  
  
• Department of Inquisition- A hand picked group chosen by the pope himself. The groups main objective is to destroy anything that is not of the human race. Rather then reling on abilities, they rely on their own bodies and weapons to kill. They are ranked from A being the top to D being the bottom. Rank A and B are very rare and usually lead teams of lower soldiers. The inquistion is broken up into 3 parts.
  
  - Department of Lost Technology- A division set up to find and study the lost technologies of the past ancients. The division focuses on harnessing this technology in new ways. It also works on creating new technology to help in the war.
  - Department of Human Development- A department that focuses heavily on studying the human body and ways to improve it. The department works on eradicating all human disease and boosting both the mental and physical capabilities of the human body. Many members fuse their own bodies with machines to perform better
  - Department of Weaponry- The department focuses on one thing, making better weapons. The are constantly making more intuitive weapons that are easier to handle and are more destructive.

• Ax Apprentice- Start off with one basic weapon, and are able train for an ability after ten topics, and a two-thousand word training with their master.
